Liverpool fans are cute

Liverpool FC is playing Newcastle United as I’m writing this.  I’m obviously following the match through the BBC’s live text service.  Amazing stuff really.

Following Liverpool got me thinking about another thing, however: Liverpool fans are cute.  One of my girl friends (two words) told me this once.  Apparently Liverpool fans are more cute and kind as compared to our arch-rivals Man United, whose fans are supposedly more outspoken, rough and the cliche manly-type, if you know what I mean.

It may seem strange but there are some pronounced differences between Liverpool fans and Man United ones.

Ummm…

66min: Still 1-0 (Kuyt) in Liverpool’s favour.
73min: Looks like we’re in for a nerve-straining last 15 minutes as we’re still in front by one goal only.
78min: 2-0 (Alonso).  I can breathe.

FT: Liverpool 2 – 0 Newcastle
