Poetry Thursday (My week 4.0)

by Khalil A. Cassimally

To be complete

It flies amongst the crowd
Looking for two new preys:
The girl with the dark lustrous hair
And the boy she cared about;
There they were.

A magic spell
Is enough to achieve magical things
Because love is magic;
Hearts beating faster,
Cheeks turning pink.

The boy turns to look around
And the girl turns around to see whether he’s looking
Eyes cross, all fiery
“There, t’is done,” it says
“Let the love flow through their veins
Let them feel the lust
And they’ll know
How incomplete they are
Without one another.”

Note:

  • This Thursday we were totally free: write a poem or share one, you decide.
  • Check out Poetry Thursday and cry your heart out every Thursdays. The concept is simple: share poetry on your blog.
